University of Washington: New Frontiers in Construction - CERC Applied Research Conference

  • Center for Education and Research in Construction 7543 63rd Ave NE Magnusson Park, Building 5, Bay B Seattle, Washington 98115 United States (map)

The CERC annual conference is back! Since 2011, the University of Washington’s Center for Education and Research in Construction has created an engaging platform to address issues confronting the construction industry head-on. Held at the CERC Sandpoint facility in Seattle, we invite you to join us for this year’s event. Which promises to be our most robust event to date. Over a whirlwind experience on March 4th, six pressing topics facing how we research, work, and live inside the built environment will be deeply delved into throughout the day.

The latter portion of the afternoon holds our two keynote addresses. Markku Allison (AIA), Founder of Scan Consulting and Renée Cheng, Director of Research Practices at the University of Minnesota are two luminaries on the vanguard of the built environment. They’ll be ready to inspire on what will come next as our industry looks forward. To close out what is sure to be the most action-packed CERC conference to date, BuiltWorlds will bring its All Hands on Tech exhibition. During happy hour, a cadre of special guests will put the audience in the driver’s seat as they test drive exciting new technologies. Walking away from this year’s event, you will be able to take research findings and the timely information industry experts displayed and put that directly into use when you return to your office or classroom on Monday morning.
