David Ivey

LEED AP Senior Associate, Design Technology Manager, HOK

As HOK Chicago’s Design Technology Manager, David coordinates BIM, buildingSMART, and IPD related activities in all practice areas and focus groups, and leads the strategic direction in these areas. During his tenure David has worked on more than 30 projects with HOK, including projects in the healthcare, hospitality, higher education and science and technology sectors. David is also founder and leader of the Chicagoland buildingSMART Group, which meets monthly to discuss buildingSMART and BIM as they relate to AEC firms and those associated with the built environment. David is also a frequent BIM seminar speaker at universities and organizations, representing the designer’s perspective.
