BuiltWorlds adds new research arm

by ELIOT ROSENFIELD, Research Manager | Nov 17, 2015

Building on our broader mission to foster "a smarter built environment", BuiltWorlds this week is pleased to announce the launch of a new research service that will offer reviews and in-depth analyses of new and emerging technologies created for design, construction, real estate, and related industries. Initially, this service will be complimentary for our sponsors, and a la carte for our greater audience.

"We're very excited about this initiative," says BuiltWorlds cofounder Matt Abeles. "From day one, we've been focused on connecting stakeholders with good, actionable information about the things they need to know to improve both their businesses and this industry. Over the last year, many in our audience have come to us and expressed an interest in digging deeper. So really, conducting our own research is a natural next step for us."

With that in mind, BuiltWorlds has released its first two independent research reports, A Revolution in Technology: 3D Laser Scanners and UAVs: Science Fiction Meets Reality. Both can be accessed now at the new BuiltWorlds Research page on our website.

Please dive in and let us know what you think of our efforts so far. More research projects are already under way, but we are certainly open to suggestions for both topics and methods that may be of interest to you. As always, we enjoy engaging with readers, sponsors, colleagues, friends and all current and future members of the BuiltWorlds community. We rely on your feedback to help us meet and exceed your expectations in this area. So, again, please do let us know which research topics you deem most worthy of exploration.

In the coming months, we will also be partnering with other key industry organizations and educational institutions to conduct joint research and produce focused reports on compelling topics. So, please stay tuned and let us know how we can help you to leverage the future to serve all of our needs with greater insight, deeper information, and broader applications of constantly evolving technologies.
