BuiltWorlds BIM/IPD NIGHT

  • BuiltWorlds 1130 W Monroe St Chicago, IL, 60607 United States (map)

Building information modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery (IPD) are two facets of our industry that work well together, but not perfectly. In 2007, HOK's David Ivey started the Chicagoland buildingSMART Group to foster a broader discussion of the common challenges faced with BIM/IPD. Since then, the group has grown to nearly 500 industry professionals, all willing to help each other use BIM more effectively and perform IPD more successively. This month, BuiltWorlds is honored to host an expanded version of the group's regular spring meeting, augmented by three special guests who will also take the stage:

  • Nancy Clark Brown of Assemble Systems, on how to collaborate on BIM data in real time;
  • Josh FarkasCubicle Ninjas, on the virtues of Virtual Reality for architecture;
  • Steve CrowleyGraycor, on the all-for-one, IPD team success attained for BP in Whiting IN;
  • David IveyHOK, on common BIM pain points, and how best to overcome them.

Please join us at BuiltWorlds for what promises to be a truly fascinating and useful program.
