Mechanical Tech Toy Chest set to rock Cleveland

Mechanical Tech Toy Chest
set to rock Cleveland

by TODD STOLARSKI | Oct 1, 2015

It's an adage that locals live by and anyone who has been there knows: "Cleveland rocks!"

Kicking off "Rock-tober" on the shores of Lake Erie, the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) this week is hosting its annual next-generation event for hundreds of mechanically inclined college students. From Oct. 1-3, MCAA’s 2015 Student Chapter Summit: The Best of Next for Generation Next, will expose hundreds of studious young men and women to the professional twists and turns of plumbing, piping, pumping and all manner of virtual mechanical modeling, installation, repair and maintenance.

And this year, BuiltWorlds is honored to be part of the faculty educating this eager community. BW co-founder and managing director Matt Abeles will be on hand tonight reprising his critically acclaimed Technology Toy Chest, which knocked 'em dead at McDonalds University in June. We're there 'live' from the Summit floor at the Westin Cleveland with tech friends who have much to offer the mechanical contractors of tomorrow. Check out the lineup below and follow us on social media for updates throughout. Unlike Spinal Tap, we know where this stage is, and we plan to rock it. "Hello, Cleveland!"

Milwaukee Tool - Nick Biondo, Christian Coulis, Kharli Tyler, Steve Matson

  • Unlocking the digital jobsite;

MasterGraphics - Kevin Carr

  • 3D scanning and printing, for projects purposes, both big and small;

Lift Technologies - Andrew Dennison

  • Drones overhead in the built environment, your project helpers in the sky!;

GuardHat - Gerrit Reepmeyer

  • A groundbreaking solution that aims to transform industrial safety in the field.

BW is excited to present these four special guests to the MCAA student community. We are also thrilled to be sharing the stage with fellow MCAA advisor, JBKnowledge CEO James Benham. Later this month, our road show will head to JBKnowledge's HQ in College Station TX for Demo Night South. Learn more about that student outreach event at Texas A&M University here.

Having trouble keeping up with everything BW has going on these days? Join the club! And buckle up, 'cause we're still just getting started.
