On Sept. 25-27, the AEC Hackathon road show returns to the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle.

When BuiltWorlds hosted Chicago's first-ever AEC Hackathon earlier this year, Damon Hernandez, the nonprofit's executive director, spoke about the evolving role that both augmented and virtual realities are now playing in the early stages of the design process.

Now in his eighth year as "director of tech tools" at San Francisco-based homebuilder IDEAbuilder, Hernandez applies his extensive knowledge of 3D web standards with digital fabrication and advanced manufacturing to design and build homes more effectively, efficiently and sustainably.

Before AEC Hackathon 2.5 Pacific Northwest returns to Seattle later this month, sit back and watch Hernandez's presentation here at BuiltWorlds on How 3D Design Enhances Robotic Manufacturing:

BW is proud to be a media partner of the AEC Hackathon, which will return to Chicago in 2016!
