Group adds BD ace Alexander

(GREENVILLE, SC - September 9, 2015) - Hope Alexander has joined BE&K Building Group as vice president of business development. Based in Chicago, Alexander will focus on further expanding the design-builder’s business nationally — specifically in the advanced manufacturing, aerospace, life sciences, emerging technology, food/beverage and commercial/mixed-use sectors.

Alexander brings nearly 30 years of experience selling, marketing and managing all aspects of architecture, engineering and construction business development; often focused on material handling and building industry-related technology services. A former director with Gehry Technologies, Alexander's strong industry background includes more than 15 years with Chicago design-builder McClier and its eventual owner AECOM. She holds a degree in economics from the University of Michigan.

Asked what she considers the greatest lesson learned so far in her career, Alexander answered this way. "It’s important to stay current, creative and fresh," she said. "Maintaining an awareness of the market's dynamics and latest innovations, as well as possessing the willingness to make changes is critical to success. One must always be learning and improving."
