Last Thursday here at BuiltWorlds, we learned all about what the future holds for commercial and residential properties at Technology in Real Estate II. The topic that kept everyone talking that evening centered on connected devices as part of the Internet of Things.

Beacons and sensors served as examples of the ways in which homes and offices are adopting new technologies to revolutionize the way we live and work. From a Nest™ in our nest to video-chatting to drone photo capture, the number of new technologies currently at our fingertips seems to multiply each day.

Whether house-hunting or shopping for new office or retail space, the event also addressed the ways in which the real estate industry is embracing creative uses of the latest gadgets and apps to promote faster and easier online and handheld commerce.
