Now that Techweek: New York is winding down with its own Hackathon this weekend, we thought the time seemed right to look back at the riveting discussion we hosted during Chicago's own Techweek in June. Held at the historic Merchandise Mart, BuiltWorlds' second-ever Tech Toy Chest event put seven of the brightest industry tech minds on one stage for a round table chat on how their firms are shaping the future of the built space.

Representing a wide array of cutting-edge companies, our panel brought along expert knowledge on everything from 3D scanning and augmented reality to smart safety helmets and VR applications for architecture, and more.

Moderated by design consultant Christina Klinepeter, our lineup included:
