VC Survey: Big Year Ahead for PlanGrid, Procore

In 2015, the built environment saw many tech fads turn into full-on phenoms. Guided by the ever-present cloud and growing demand, software-based tools made considerable headway into work in the field, trailer, and wherever you could grab an internet connection.

As we prepare to turn the calendar to another year, the prognosticators have come out of hibernation to tell us whom the smart money is backing. What will be the drivers that help shape the built space next year?

Business Insider recently put together a list of the 53 Startups that Will be Huge in 2016 According to Venture Capitalists. Of note, it tapped PlanGrid and Procore each to have a smashing new year. No strangers to BuiltWorlds, these two project management app providers are both out of the Golden State and on a roll. Just last month, in fact, we reported that PlanGrid had garnered $40 million in Series B funding. Not to be outdone, Procore earlier this month celebrated the announcement of its one-millionth user.
