Are Construction Workers
the Happiest Employees?

"Yes", says the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The industry nonprofit makes that assertion based on TINYpulse's 2015 Best Industry Ranking report, which gathered anonymous one-question feedback surveys from over 30,000 employees at 500+ firms in a dozen distinct industries. Construction and facility service workers ranked as the happiest employees.

One in five survey respondents said their workplace satisfaction derived from being energized by daily jobsite responsibilities. Findings also highlighted how construction worker happiness has risen steadily over the last five years. After construction, employees toiling in the consumer products, technology, and software industries ranked as the next most satisfied, in that order.
