Textura, e-Builder, Aconex among top CM blogs

Burnham Works was still too new to enter the competition, but Direct Capital's 'PointBlank' blog has released its first-ever list of 'The Top 50 Construction Management Blogs', which the authors caution is "in no particular order".

Familiar news and information providers such as ENR and Building Design + Construction made the list, as well as some design and construction heavyweights like AECOM and CH2M Hill. But several technology firms also made The Top 50, more evidence that their increasing influence in the industry is also morphing into 'thought leadership'. Those cited include Textura, Aconex, e-Builder, CMiC, ProCore and Capterra.

"We know that the construction landscape is changing and that construction managers need insights on current issues and best practices to stay on the cutting edge," said James Purpura, president of Textura's 'Submittal Exchange' and PlanSwift (http://www2.submittalexchange.com/public/blog/). "We are thrilled to be considered a useful resource."

Added Ron Antevy, president and CEO of Plantation FL-based e-Builder, "We're honored to be recognized as pioneers helping to marry the benefits of technology with the business of construction."

In compiling its list, PointBlank's Scott Lynch explained, "We narrowed the blogs to those that offer the most up-to-date information and news... those that offer a unique perspective on building green and considering environmental factors... and those that provide advice and suggestions for the latest technology, software and application solutions to make the world of construction management a little easier to navigate."
